The Story of Empu Sendok

Once upon a time there was a kingdom in East Java named Mataram Kingdom. The kingdom was very peaceful and properous. Empu Sendok was it the name of the king in Mataram Kingdom. He ruled his kingdom very fair and wise. His people respected and adored him very much.

One day, Majapahit Kingdom was came a guest his nemed Tunggul Abang. He said that his king named Prabu Hayam Wuruk wants to stay in this kingdom, because our kingdom suffers a epidemic disease. A lot of people died of the epidemic.
That is why my king wants to come here, Tunggul Abang added. All right. I will welcome your king warmly, replied Empu Sendok. Not long after that, Tunggul Abang left the kingdom of Mataram and back to the palace. He wanted to report it to his king, Prabu Hayam Wuruk.

On the other hand, Empu Sendok invited his assistants to hold a meeting. He wanted to welcome the arrival of king of Majapahit in Mataram Kingdom, to welcomed the king of Majapahit he wanted to build a temple. So, he asked  a number of man to go to Surenggono village to find and carry the best stones to build the temple.

Beside that, there was somebody who did not like with what Empu Sendok wanted  to do. His name is Arya Panangsang. He felt ill-treated years ago. He wanted to make revenge. He barred from and stopped the man of Empu Sendok that was looking for stone, to built the temple. Feeling frustrated, they went home and reported to Empu Sendok. Then Empu Sendok was very angry hearing that his man said.
